A welcome gift of home baked cookies will greet all weary travellers. |
| Farm activities | Darean Farm cottage is situated on an operating sheep/grain farm, fifty metres from the main homestead; a peaceful retreat in the natural environment, yet overlooking farm paddocks with a vast salt lake in the distance. Relax on the porch and watch the magnificent sunsets over the lake, or quietly enjoy the bird life or stars in the immense night skies. There are many farm walks available and/or view any available farm activities. Your hosts will be able to help, advise, or take you on a farm tour. The area is a photographer's dream. |
| Nearby attractions | Lake Grace is home to one of only three remaining inland Flying Doctor hospitals (the only one in WA) and you can visit the now fully restored museum. Take a walk on the salt lake; panoramic views of the immense lake system can be seen from the Lake Grace Lookout. Head out to the White Cliffs, an interesting geological feature and local picnic spot, only minutes drive from the farm. There are two wineries to visit; both have award winning tastings available. The historic Holland Track is a short drive from Lake Grace or travel further and visit Wave Rock, one hour's drive away. |
